I have something fun to share with you today. When it comes to scrapping, each one of us have our very own style and way of designing. The other day, I came across this 7-question quiz designed to provide personal insight.

It is called The Color Sense Game. It is actually really neat. I learned a little more about myself, and why I choose certain colors to scrap with sometimes. Its a way to learn your "color personality".

I took the quiz, and my top results were #1 Pop Art, and #2 Almonds & Honey.

Good Morning Girlz!! I'm lovin today's technique!

Use Ribbon As The Main Embellishment On Your Page

You can even use ribbon in the place of normal patterned paper!

Here are some examples:

This adorable page was created by Brandi. I loved the way she used only ribbon to embellish her page. She let the ribbon do all the work!

I took Brandi's idea and created a card using the same technique! It was a great way to use some of my ribbon scraps!

Cheryl's Monday Motivation

Think Spring!!! I'm ready! How about you? I'm ready for flip flops & capri pants!
As for scrappin' Spring......I love lo's with bright spring colors & beautiful flowers! I find myself wanting to put some kind of flower on just about every lO. So....this should be easy.....send us a lO with a white background & bright colored pp, OR with flowers & we will give you 8 friendz pointz! (Only one per person please.)

Challenge Thursday

Happy Challenge Thursday, girlz! It's time for another weekly challenge. Amy is still gone on Spring Break vacation, so, I am going to post the challenge for this week. For this week's challenge, I want you to alter a notebook. I had soooo much fun with mine, and it was so quick and easy to do.
Here is what I used:

* Composition notebook
* Patterned paper
* coordinating embellishments
* chipboard letter stickers
* adhesive- Mod Podge

You can use any kind of notebook you want, and any type of strong adhesive. I used Mod Podge, because the emellishments I used were 3-D and it made it more chunky, and I wanted a better seal. If you want to do more of a flat cover, you can probably get away with using a regular stronger adhesive. I used K&Co Urban Rhapsody papers and embellies.

Wacky Wednesday

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday Girlz!!! Isn't that little Easter egg so cute?! Too bad it's not working like i planned! It's supposed to read, "Happy Spring, Scrapfriendzy chicks!! Look below for more ways to earn Friendz Pointz!!!" But, I can't get it to work right. :(

Only one more day until Spring offically starts, and 4 more days until Easter!! I like this time of year, because the trees are budding, flowers are blooming, and everything is new.

So to celebrate the season, find or create a {Spring/Easter LO or card }. I want you to email us, any project that you have created that is spring-related. It can be an old one, or a new one. Technique Tuesday

Hey girlz!!! Hope you are having a great week so far! We're on Spring Break in the beautiful New Mexico Mountains!! Taking lots of pictures, so I'll come home ready to scrap!For today's technique, we're gonna go "old School"!!!Use pop-dots to create 3-D Embellishments that "POP"!It's a simple technique that adds fun texture and interest to your page. On this layout, I used a pop-dot between the pink & white flower.

You can add pop-dots to any embellishment...hand-cut like my flowers or a store bought embellishment....just make it "POP"!!!

Good morning girlfriendz! Happy Monday!

Well, since our Amy has gone on a family vacation to New Mexico, I thought I would encourage you to "scrap your trips!"

Whether big trips or small, they all make for great family memories.

Here is a LO that I created about our last "girls trip." The journaling reads: I look so forward to our "girls trips." We went to The Woodlands, shopped @ Build-A-Bear & Libby Lou, & went swimming at the hotel. The girls had no idea that we would end the trip by going to the airport to pick up "Uncle D." for a surprise visit.

So here's the deal!!! Send us a pic of a LO about a trip you have taken & we will give you 8 friendpointz!!! Fair enough????

WooooHoooooo! It's Friday! I'm really excited today! There's a crop going on at http://www.simplyobsessed.biz/ and DH has taken the tiny one for the day (and he's watching her tomorrow and Sunday too!). Lots of great challenges, games, and prizes! Have you taken any great photos this week? I took Drew outside yesterday in her fairy costume to have a little photo shoot. Crazy that just last week we were outside in the same spot in the snow! It's that time of year, when spring is in the air, you wear green to avoid getting pinched, and it seems that everyone is suddenly Irish. So, this Wednesday, let’s celebrate all things green! I want you to "Think Green".

I want you to create a LO, card, OR email us a photo that you have taken, associated with Green. It can be the color, the word, use a phrase with green, ex: "green with envy", or it may also be associated with recycling, and the environment. Just however you interpret the phrase, "Think Green."

Technique Tuesday

Good morning, girlfriendz!! It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for a fun technique! Today, the technique will be:
Create A Card With A "Window"
This is a really fun technique with endless possibilities! AND it's super easy to boot!
1st I took my card and using a centering ruler, found my center.
2nd I measured & marked a 2x2 inch square.
3rd I cut out my square using my straight-edge knife. And voila! I have a window!
I then decorated my card with various patterned paper, ribbon & embellishments.
Here's a look at my card:

You can make your window any shape you can imagine! I've even made them using my punches! Your window can be small or large. Your window can give you a peek at an embellishment like mine or a sentiment! Use your imagination and create a card with a "window" today!

Cheryl's Monday Motivation

Happy Monday girlfriendz!
When I purchase a scrapbooking kit where all the papers are co-ordinated, I tend to want to put a little of every paper on one page. Well, of course I can't always do that, but that is why I got excited about this idea from DESIGNING WITH!
Punch circles from a lot of different patterned papers & adhere them to either a card or a layout! It is a great way to use your scraps & to stretch the use of your paper.
On this design, they stitched over the circles. You could even add buttons or little flowers to the circles for an added touch. Hey, really the papers don't have to be from a co-ordinating kit, you could just put some great colors together, or do one color from different patterned papers!
Soooo.... to rack up some friendzpointz, e-mail us either a card or a layout where you used at least 3 circles of different pp. I can't wait to do one this week! A card will be worth 5 pointz and a layout worth 10 pointz! Looking forward to seeing your submissions!

February Girlfriend Of The Month

Ok, girlz... it's time to meet our February GFOTM!! And the winner is................................................................

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 13 years.
I have 3 children, Mikayla - 9, Julianna - 5 & Jacob will be 4 next week.
I am self-employed (bookkeeping).
I love anything crafty. I used to cross-stitch and do plastic canvas before scrapbooking completely took over my life.
I am very passionate about the March of Dimes since Jacob was born 6 weeks premature.
It's hard for me to pick a specific product. I am definately a HORDER! I guess if I had to choose something it would be chipboard. I love that stuff! You can do so much with it.
I really don't know what my style is. I just take ideas from here & there.

Hey everyone! Have you taken any pics today yet? I did! We woke up this morning to SNOW! May seem perfectly normal to some of you, but it NEVER snows here so it was a bit of a shock to me this morning! LOL! Of course I had to take Drew outside for just a bit to snap a few photos. We don't really have "snow clothes" so we only stayed out about 5 minutes. She kept running to the window, yelling "Dares No!" which I translated to "There's snow!" Too cute!

To Create A Layout Using NO Patterned Paper

It's really not as hard as it sounds!!! You can use any embellishments! You can stamp or paint on your cardstock to create patterns, or keep it simple...it's up to you!
Here's the example I made:
I created this page for my 2008 BOM {Book Of Me}. It's me & my girls playing at the park a few weeks ago.

I even used a technique from Technique Tuesday a few weeks ago: extending elements off of your page Just a quick & easy page!

Good Morning Girlz!! Hope you're having a great Tuesday!!
I'm super excited to share today's technique with you!
Create A Background Using Black & White Photos
For this technique, I prited various sizes of black & white photos on white cardstock and adhered hem randomly to my page. I then matted, and placed colored photos on top of the black & white ones. Using this technique, really makes the colored photos "pop" on your page!!

If there is one thing I love about scrapbooking it is the rule that ANYTHING goes! If you don't have just the right embellishment , no problem! Just make something out of your paper!



Below is a LO where I made a "sun" out of paper. I also love to make paper flowers. You just punch them or cut them out, wad them up in your hand to help with dimension, straighten them out a little & Viola!!!!, (not sure about that spelling) you have an awesome flower to match your page!

So here is the chance to start racking up the points.... create a LO or Card with an embellishment made with paper. You will receive 10 FPz for LOs and 8 FPz for cards!
