TGIF! (Well almost!)

Did everyone have a wonderful Christmas? I did but I'm a little glad it's all over. I'm ready to get back to a somewhat normal schedule again.

As promised, I have a little giveaway for you! And all you have to do to win it is tell me something about your Christmas. It can be about your favorite gift, a family tradition, a funny Santa story, whatever! Everyone that posts between now and 11:59 pm (CST) New Year's Eve will be entered into a drawing. I will post the winner sometime New Year's Day.

Wanna see what you can win?

Amy's Monday Motivation

Well......Christmas is almost here!!!!! I know this week is crazy busy for everyone making last minute preparations for the holiday. My motivation for you this week is to STOP!
Don't rush through the holiday. Take the time to relax and enjoy this wonderful time of year. Take loads of pictures, and make sure you are in some of them!! {I'm so bad about this one!! Usually behind the camera!!}
Once the holiday is over....it won't be back til next year...so cherish it while it lasts!
I pray you and your family have a blessed holiday full of peace, love and joy!
Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!

Ronda's Wacky Wednesday

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!!! ......except for here in central, TX. Speaking of "wacky", let's talk about this wacky Texas weather. I seriously wonder if it is like this anywhere else?? One day its like springtime, one day its seriously as hot as summertime, then within just a couple hours it will drop 20-30 degrees and you'll be freezing. This crazy weather sure makes it hard to figure out how to dress kids for school. At this moment, its pouring down rain. A wet , cold, drizzling rain. Perfect for staying in, taking a nap, or watching movies! Thats what's going on in Texas, whats going on in your neck of the woods?? lol

Anyway, eventhough it may not look like Christmas here, it feels like Christmas. I love getting to spend time with my kids over their Christmas break, making cookies together, shopping and picking out gifts for other family members. I believe its so important not to let times like that slip by, because thats what makes memories for them. Its so so easy to get busy and caught up in the holiday rush and forget what its all about.

Alrighty, on to something fun to do!!!!! I found this little quiz. Its called What color of Christmas Tree should you have?? You should take a moment and check it out!! Scroll down and click on the link. Here are my results...

You Should Have a Purple Christmas Tree

For you, the holidays represent a time of creativity and expression.
There's no way you'd do something bland simply for tradition's sake.

You are an independent person, and you definitely do the holidays your own way.
And you're decadent enough to go way over the top with any unusual holiday ideas you have.

Your purple tree would look great with: Purple lights and ornaments

You should spend Christmas Eve watching: A Christmas Story

What you should bake for Santa: "Kitchen sink" cookies - with a ton of things in them

Amy's Monday Motivation

I created this LO for my ScrapAttack DT a few days ago using numbers. It was so fun to do! After creating this one, I kept thinking of all sorts of ways to use numbers on a LO. There are such cute ideas out there.....
*You could do a LO of you and someone special and title it "Just the 2 of us".
*Create a LO focusing on your (or your child's) "Top 10 Favorites List for 2007".
*Take you child's age, and create a LO stating that number of things you love about them. For example, "11 things I love about you @11"
*Maybe a list of your New Year's Resolutions for 2008
*Try using math on your page...."This + That= Something"
The possibilities are endless!
So my challenge for you this week is to create a page using numbers as your focus. Be creative! Post a comment on this thread, and then post them on your blog so we can see what you've created!!!
Have a super blessed week!

TGIF!

It's Friday! Do y'all have any big plans for the weekend? We're leaving Sunday afternoon to go Christmas shopping and won't be back until Wednesday. It ought to be a fun little get away with some friends.

I received my prize from Amy and Ronda and it was so wonderful that I want to share some goodness with you guys. Watch for a small prize package to be posted this week!

DH and I are in full Christmas mode and he is helping me decorate so I must go for now (Don't want him to change his mind! LOL!).

Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to check back for a prize!

Ronda's Wacky Wednesday!

One of my favorite things to do this time of year, is to take my kids to see all of the cool Christmas lights and displays. We saw some pretty awesome light displays last year, that were choreographed with music. I came across this video on You Tube, and thought you might enjoy!!! Have a happy Wednesday!!

Amy's Monday Motivation

The countdown to Christmas has begun!!!! Thanks to Brandi's inspiration, I've had a blast creating some fun "Countdown To Christmas" Calendars. We used a $1 8x8 frame from Micheals. This is such a fun project! My girls loved it so much that I made one for my nieces too. The kids get so excited to change the number each day!!
SOOOOOO....I wanted to share pics of my calendars and hope it would inspire you to create one of your own!! Only 23 days to go....

As Promised!

I finished my Thanksgiving food layout last night and wanted to share. I used the December kit from My Kits & Pieces. This was my first time using Hambly and I'll admit I was a little scared! LOL! It's a very simple page but I think I like it.

I would love to see yours (you did take food pics right?). Post a link to your gallery or blog when you get one done!
