This week seems to have flown by! I've been busy, busy, busy, but it doesn't seem like I've gotten anything done! LOL!

This weeks "Five For Friday" challenge is super easy! Use felt flowers on a layout or a card. There are lots of different companies that carry felt flowers but if you do not have any just make your own! Use a die cut machine or hand cut them. Easy peasy!

Be sure to post your creations in the Five For Friday thread on the MB to receive you 5 pointz!

30 Minute Thursday

Well.... we've almost made it through another week! I'm soooo ready for the weekend! Here's your challenge for today:
Create A Page That Features Folded Paper!!!
Here is my example:
This is a quick and easy technique that adds a fun touch to your pages! Using double sided paper, I created an interesting photo mat by folding in the corners of my mat. Your folds can be anywhere on your page... just get creative and have fun folding paper!!

30 Minute Thursday

{Today's 30 Minute Thursday Challenge is brought to you by our April Girlfriend Of The Month, Christa!!}

Put away those pattern papers and pull out your cardstock and punches!!
Here's Your Challenge:
Create layout only using cardstock. (any color) Title and embellishments must be out of cardstock. Buttons, brads and eyelets can be used to embellish your cardstock embellishments.
Here is one that I have done. I hand cut the scallop edge and used a flower punch. I cut out the big flowers and letters from my Cricut.

Have fun with the challenge and I can't wait to see your pages! Don't forget to post your link of your LO in the 30 Minute Thursday section on ScrapFriendzy forum. This challenge is worth 15 FRIENDZ POINTZ!!

Wacky Wednesday!

Good Morning Girls!!!
I can't believe how fast this month has gone by! Is anyone ready for summer?!! I am ready for summer, but NOT the heat!{The heat we've been having anyway!} For the last couple of days its been in the high 90's, and I think even in the 100's in some places!!! That's just too hot when your sitting at a baseball game! So alot of us have officially made flip flops a must for our wardrobe. Which brings me to today's little quiz!!! I thought because you all have been working SOOOO hard on all of the challenges and doing such AWESOME work, we would have a fun little quiz for you!! Here are my results!!

Technique Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, Girlz! Hope you've all had a great week so far! I can't believe May is almost over! Since we're hitting the last leg of the "race", I thought I'd give you an opportunity to really load up on FRIENDZ POINTZ. Sooooooo.... today's challenge is a TRIPLE THREAT!! Complete a page using all three of the following techniques and I'll give you 30 FRIENDZ POINTZ!!!

Technique #1- Place your title or journaling directly on your photo

On the page below, I used my Dymo Label Maker and letter stickers directly on my photo. You can use a photo editing program to print words on your photo, write them with a gel pen, etc. It's a really cool touch that adds interest to your page!

Technique #2- Hide your journaling

On this page, I hid my journaling on a "pull tag". I simply created a pocket under my photo mat so the journaling tag will slide in and out easily. Use your imagination and create fun ways to hide your journaling! Technique #3- Create a Hand-Made Embellishment

In the picture below, you can see a close up of the fabric & paper flower that I created. This can be ANY hand-made embellishment. The possibilities are endless!!

Hope you are having a great week so far!
For todays challenge, we are going to do something a little different. We are going to do a Card Workshop!!! They are so much fun! I had the opportunity to participate in one last week, and had so much fun, I thought I'd get one together to share with you! Let's get started! You can use whatever paper you want, but here I used the Prima Dude Collection. If you need to see the picture better, just click on it. (Sorry about the dark photos, its been storming here.)
Here are the materials you will need. To start, take white cardstock and round the corners.

Then, trim your background paper 1/4 inch shorter to fit on the card where the edges still show. I also rounded the corners on this too.

Next, I added a 2-inch strip of patterned paper across the card, and added 2 strips of patterned paper to the sides.

Then, I added a flower from white cardstock, using my Cricut. (you can use any shape you want EX:star)

Next, I added a circle cut from black cardstock, also using the Cricut, and added it to the center of the flower.

I added a heart die-cut to to the center of the circle. When you get to this point, you can add the sentiment by hand or using stickers or chipboard. I used my white uni-ball signo. For added detail, I doodled around the card and on the heart.

Here is the finished product!!! Fun! Fun!

Technique Tuesday

Good morning girlz!! Hope you are having a great week! Yesterday, for our Monday Motivation, Cheryl challenged us to us chipboard shapes. For today's Technique Tuesday, we're gonna take it a step farther.....

Use Distress Inks/Fluid Chalk On Naked Chipboard

This is a really neat technique that adds a vintage/shabby chic flair to your projects! Here is my example:


I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk in Dark Brown to distress my chipboard swirls & letters. I love the way it looks on the naked chipboard. So give it a try! Complete a page using distress ink on naked chipboard and I'll give you 15 FRIENDZ POINTZ!!! Don't forget to post a a pic or a link to your page in the forum in this thread so you can get your FPZ!

Challenge #10 {Altered Photos}

I hope you are all having a great time with our MAY POINTZ FRIENDZY!! We are super swamped at the flower shop this week with proms & Mother's Day... not to mention a wedding and a funeral!! Yikes!! Sooooo... no scrappy time for me this week! Maybe this weekend I'll be able to complete some of the challenges! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!! ;)

Challenge #10 is: Create a page using photos that have been altered in some way.

You can alter your photos in any way.... print them in a different color or get creative in Photoshop or whatever program you use. You can even alter them by painting on them or using rub-ons... whatever you can think of as long as your photos have been altered in some way!! Be creative and have fun!! Here is my page:


I simply printed my photos in "mono" scheme. I just chose colors that coordinated with my page. It was super easy and fun!

April Girlfriend Of The Month

I'm so excited to introduce to you our April Girlfriend Of The Month........
........................Christa Parker!!! Christa has been such a great addition to our site! She is so talented and enthusiastic and I'm so happy she joined us!

Hello, my name is Christa and I'm addicted to scrapbooking!! lol
I'm married to a very supporting husband Chris for almost 20 years, SAHM of 4 children Jenn 17, Garrett 15, Jacob 12 and Michael 10. We are a Military family, was raised an Army brat and now an Army wife. We are currently living in West Virginia.
I have been scrapping for about 7 1/2 years. 10 years ago I started with rubber stamps and now have over 1000 stamps! I would say my scrap style is Eclectic. I love to try new things and come up with different ways to scrap my pages. One of my favorite product to use on my layouts are rub ons. Can't finish a page with out adding some. Ok I can't just name one favorite... Can't live without my Cricut and chipboard either!!
I have had the best time hanging out with all my new Scrap Friendz and scrapping the challenges. I look forward to everyday popping on and seeing what fun thing I get to try on my pages.

Challenge #9 {Mothers} May Pointz Friendzy

Wow! It's been an amazing weekend! Great challenges & you girls did an amazing job on them! Don't worry if you didn't get them all in....you can continue to do them through the 11th of May & collect your friendz pointz!

Well!!!!!!!! Since next weekend is Mother's Day... I am challenging you to create a LO using MOTHER's! It doesn't have to be about Mother's day. It can be your mother, you as a mother, a grandmother,....anything as long as it is a pic of a mother.

I just created this LO of my mother on her birthday last March. The journaling reads: "I really love this picture taken of Mama on her 69th birthday. I think it really shows her personality!"

Challenge #6 {Chunky Chipboard Challenge}

Ok, here is Challenge #6. Create a LO AND a card (any size) and embellish with chipboard elements. Chipboard letters do not count. I want you to use something other than alphas such as swirls, shapes, and flourishes. Anything other than letters. Create both the LO and card, and I will give you 20 Friendz Pointz!!!!

Challenge #5 {Got Curves?}

Hey Girlz!! Hope you are enjoying the challenges so far!! This is so much fun!
The 5th challenge is for you to create a LO (any size) or card with a curvy title.
Anyway you decide to do it, as long as it has curve! Get curvy, and I'll give you 10 Friendz Pointz!!! Here are my examples:

Remember no double-dipping though! In other words, you can't do the curvy title challenge on the 6x12 LO challenge and get credit for both!!! Challenge #3 {Cut It In Half}

Challenge #2 {"Trashy" Card Challenge}

Your 2nd challenge is to create a card using your scrap trash. Your card can be for any occasion with any sentiment, but it's got to made using scraps that you would normally throw away. Complete this challenge, post it in this thread in the forum, and I'll give 5 FRIENDZ POINTZ for every "trashy' card you create!!!

Here's mine.... everything on this card was scraps from a page I did. I punched one to many butterflies, so I decided to use it one this quick card instead of trashing it! Have fun!!
