November Girlfriend Of The Month!!!

It's time to introduce you to our November Girlfriend Of The Month!!! It's a girl that recently joined our community and we LOVE having her hang out with us! Her work is very inspiring! Here she is:

Here's what she had to say about herself:
I am 40 years old. Married to my loving and supportive husband Murray. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Amy (4) and Chloe (1), they are the apple of my eye. I was born and bred in Durban, South Africa. A little city along the coastline.

I had always been a keen card-maker, until my sister-in-law introduced me to the world of Scrapbooking in October 2001. I went for my first class at a local craft shop in November and you could say I have been bitten by the Scrappin Bug and am now hooked!

When husband and I had started to think about starting a family, the birth of my daughters motivated me to create a legacy to leave behind for them one day. As well as it being a hobby that I can actually loose myself in!

Scrapbooking has been growing in leaps and bounds in South Africa, but it is not as far and widespread as in the US, which I hope it will become one day. Therefore I end up shopping online to get the nice product you all have. I have attended almost all the conferences in South Africa and have met some amazing people like Becky Higgins, Faye Morrow-Bell, Tracy White, Rebecca Sower, Karen Foster, Heidi Swapp, Donna Downey, Stacy Julian, Karen Burniston to name a few. . .

My work has been featured in our local magazine and I was one of the finalists in the Creative Reflections Scrapbook Trading Company Talent Search for 2006.

I would say my style is clean and simple. I try to keep as much focus on the photo`s - sometimes my style changes with the wind but I guess that is creativity for you. My most comfortable size is 12 x 12 although I also enjoy putting mini albums together and even venture off the page to home decor now and again. Some of my favourite product lines are Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey, Chatterbox, Making Memories, Pink Paislee and many more. My weakness is that I try to be too perfect and my strength would be focusing on the photos.
