Flip Flop Friday Challenge #3

Today's challenge is a combination of small pics and lots of white space (blank area). You need to use wallet sized (or smaller) photos (no more than 3) and be sure to situate your design so that you have plenty of white space. Limit your embellishing to keep your page pretty simple.

On this layout I used 3 wallet sized photos near the bottom leaving the top fairly empty (white space).

Flip-Flop Fridays Challenge #2

Another way to create a simple layout is to limit yourself to one color--a monochromatic color scheme. Create a layout using only 1 color (or varying shades of one color) for 15 pointz. Do one in all white and I'll give you 20!

Here are a couple of examples. My pink one cheats a little bit with the white touches but I'm sure y'all can do better! ;)

Flip-Flop Fridays Challenge #1

I was trying to come up with something clever to tie flip-flops and scrapping together and since flip-flops are the least amount of shoes that you can wear, I decided to go with a "less is more" approach. On Fridays this month you will create super simple pages. Don't panic! Your pages are not going to have to look naked to be considered simple. Keeping it simple can still make a great impact and definitely be pleasing to the eye.

Today I would like for you to choose only 1 cardstock, 1 patterned paper, 1 title font, and 1 embellishment. (You may use any amount of photos, though I used only 1.)

By using only 1 embellishment, I kept the focus on my photo.

It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for a "Hot Summer Recipe" Challenge! Use the following ingredients to "cook up" a "Thinking Of You" Card and I'll give you 10 FRIENDZ POINTZ!

An easy weekend project

Need something easy to do this weekend? Make up a few tags with your scraps. I recently made a layout with some Pink Paislee paper and I had a ton of scraps leftover. By adding a few embellishments, I was able to make 4 coordinating tags.

These make great "Just Because" & "Birthday" cards or use them as gift tags.
