April Girlfriend of the Month

Congratulations to Rachelle for being our GOTM for April.  Let's get to know her a little bit!!

Hi Fellow Scrap Neighbors,

My name is Rachelle(ShellyScrap). I am totally addicted to the world of scrapbooking since 2009 and self taught. I am a retired 6th grade teacher and miss it so much. Now I am physically disabled, confined to a wheelchair and assisted by home health aides. Scrapbooking is the perfect activity for me. I LOVE

SCRAPPING everyday including holidays.

I am divorced and I have 2 sons 35 and 19. I have 2 beautiful grandchildren; girl and boy. I have osteo arthritis, fibromylagia, and congestive heart failure. So I like scrapping on the days when I am not in too much pain.

I love the Lord because there is none like Him and He is worthy of the my praise. I give God all the glory and honor for caring and watching over me each day. May your day be blessed always.

Scrap-Friendzy's Hippity Hop Crop

 

 Happy Spring everyone!

It's a new month and you all know what that means.  Yep, it's time for a new theme here at Scrap-Friendzy.

This month we are having a Hippity Hop Crop and you all are invited.

The official crop is April 8th-15th, but be sure to check in this week as we have a few pre-crop challenges for you. to tide you over until the crop begins.  

But don't fret if you can't make it during the crop, because we are giving away not one, but two prizes this month.  One will be for the actual crop and the other will be given at the end of the month just like we always do it. 

The deadline for the crop prize will be Sunday April 15 at midnight CST but you will have all month to do the challenges for the monthly prize and GOTM.

Plus there are some smaller prizes sprinkled in that are being offered by some DT members as well.

February Girlfriend of the Month

Give a big welcome to our February GOTM Theresa.

Let's get to know a little bit about her.

My name is Theresa and my user name is kiwicanuck. I have lived in Auckland, New Zealand for almost 25 years but am originally from Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have been scrapbooking for almost 15 years. I went to a card-making workshop and the tutor mentioned that she was about to become a Creative Memories consultant. Both my daughter and I decided to try scrapbooking but quickly moved on from CM. I have stayed with traditional scrapbooking and my daughter is almost totally digital. My style, when I began, was very simple and linear but I have evolved into a more layered, shabby chic style. I can never have too much on a layout. When ever I travel I am either looking for a LSS or looking for inspiration for layouts and cards. Several years ago, I planned a trip back to visit family in Canada at the same time there was an SB retreat and I had such a great time that I had to buy an extra suitcase the bring all my SB purchases home.  I really enjoy being at Scrap Friendzy and I find the challenges motivate me to complete more layouts and cards.

DT CALL!!

We are having a DT Call!! Scrap-friendzy is such a fun, active place to hang out and we are always having a blast, so if you'd like to join our team- here's your chance!!

Scrap-Friendzy is a challenge based site with a laid-back, friendly environment where everyone is welcome! We focus on inspiring and encouraging our members, as well as, teaching new techniques to take our scrapbooking & paper crafting to the next level!

If you are a kind, energetic paper crafter that enjoys inspiring, encouraging and educating others in our craft, then this might be the perfect place for you!

Chosen DT members will be responsible for daily posting on the message board, creating at least 2 challenges per month for our members, as well as participating in the challenges created by other design team members, and promoting, organizing and hosting events throughout their term. In return, we will promote your work, blog, etc through our site, blog and facebook page, and you will also receive a special kit full of fun scrappy goodies!

The call runs Sunday, January 29th through Sunday, February 19th.

This call is for a 6 month term beginning March 1,2012 through August 31,2012.
